A well known and well loved Greek appetizer


  • 1cm thick slice of Graviera cheese
  • 300 gr Flour
  • 100 ml Lemon
  • ¼ teacup of Olive oil
  • Thyme honey
  • Sesame seeds
  • 1 egg or milk


Fill a bowl with milk or beaten egg and another with the flour. – Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. – Dip the cheese slices in the milk or egg, and coat in flour 2-3 times till well covered and then fry until crispy and golden on both sides. – Serve with freshly squeezed lemon juice or drizzle thyme honey over it topped with sesame seeds or walnuts.
